Reliable foam performance at your fingertips: Meet the TFT Bubble Cup and Quadra Cup nozzles
In the world of fire suppression, the right nozzle can be the difference between containment and catastrophe. As firefighting challenges evolve with more volatile fuel sources, complex structures, and unpredictable wildland events crews need tools that offer flexibility, durability and rapid adaptability. That’s where Task Force Tips (TFT) continues to lead the way. TFT has a well-earned global reputation for engineering high-performance firefighting nozzles and two of their standout innovations the Bubble Cup and Quadra Cup are proving indispensable for crews who demand more from their equipment. Here in South Africa, Vanguard Fire and Safety has proudly supported TFT’s mission as their trusted local agent for over 27 years, providing expert service, product support and the reliability frontline teams count on.
Industrial Fire and Hazard Control’s Pholosi Pumper with high-capacity firefighting capability
The Pholosi Pumper built on the UD Croner PKE280 chassis with an Allison automatic transmission exemplifies modern emergency response design, merging durability, operational performance and fire suppression efficiency. Designed for municipalities, industrial complexes and rural fire services, this pumper addresses the needs of rapid deployment, high-volume water delivery and versatility in diverse firefighting scenarios. The Pholosi Pumper integrates a 6 000-litre stainless steel water tank, engineered for corrosion resistance and structural integrity under high-stress environments. This tank provides ample water capacity for initial fire attack before hydrant connection or tanker relay becomes available.
OceanAlpha’s Dolphin3 Remote Controlled Rescue Buoy: Revolutionising water rescue operations
Water rescue operations have long relied on lifeguards, boats and helicopters to save lives. However, harsh conditions, distance and response time often pose serious challenges. Enter the Dolphin3 Remote Controlled Rescue Buoy, a groundbreaking innovation that combines speed, safety and smart technology to transform the future of aquatic emergency response. The Dolphin3 is a remote-controlled, motorised rescue buoy designed to rapidly reach and support drowning victims or individuals in distress in aquatic environments. Compact, durable and highly visible, this device offers a quick and effective alternative to traditional rescue methods.
Survival Technology: A world first for rescue training!
An exciting collaboration between medical simulation experts Lifecast Body Simulation and rescue training manikin manufacturers Ruth Lee allows us to introduce a world-first for water rescue training, the Advanced Water Rescue Manikin. We want to see a world where appropriate clinical care can be practised in an environment where it will take place for real. That means medical stabilisation at height, in confined spaces and both ‘in’ and ‘on’ water. Unlike anything else available to rescue teams, this manikin will allow you to accurately simulate the rescue of a drowning victim from the water and then continue with essential medical care once it is pulled into your boat or onto dry land.
Kestrel Fire Weather Meters from CW Price: Fighting fires with knowledge
As every firefighter and first responder knows, weather conditions are one of the most critical variables in fighting a fire, making a rescue and saving lives. Wind speed and direction, temperature and humidity are all measured frequently, tracked in detail, and entered into a fire behaviour models to inform decisions about deploying personnel, materials and suppression tactics such as digging a fireline. The Kestrel line now includes a full range of meters and loggers, including models with built in probability and ignition (PIG) and Fine dead Fuel Moisture (FDFM) readings. Wireless data transfer to smart phone and tablets using Kestrel Link makes communicating real-time conditions easier than ever. Heat stress prediction models help keep personnel safe from heat injuries during training and operations.
